Reasonable Fees & Value
The biggest misconception about CPAs is that we charge more than tax preparers like H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, Liberty Tax and other similar tax preparation companies. The truth is that the average fee these tax preparers charge for individual tax returns (Form 1040, Sch C, etc.) range from $100 to over $500. Most Americans don’t realize that CPAs charge the same or even less for the same returns. Yes, CPAs may sometimes charge higher fees, but only when the benefits outweigh the costs. The pay off? You’ll be receiving superior services by a qualified professional. After all, Certified Public Accountants are held under strict ethical and educational standards, so you’re guaranteed peace of mind in knowing you are in trusted hands. Don’t just take our word for it; please feel free to visit the AICPA, FICPA, and IRS websites to learn more.
Our Competitors
Did you know that H&R Block has hundreds of complaints logged into Consumer Affairs for offering one thing and delivering another? This is in addition to the high fees that a company like H&R Block may charge to provide you with their services.
When it comes to tax filing, many Americans are losing money by trying to file their taxes “conveniently” through companies like H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt and Liberty Tax. These companies advertise that they can obtain refunds for their customers within just two days, as opposed to the two week waiting period if filed through a CPA. However, just like buying your favorite item at a convenience store, convenience comes with a price. This price can sometimes be upwards of $100 (and this doesn’t even factor their tax respective preparation fees).
